Flat top wire bonsai tree sculpture by Ken To by KenToArt Flat top wire bonsai tree sculpture by Ken To by KenToArt
The customer wanted the trunk brown and the quickest way was to paint it.  This is my firs time using paint on my sculptures and I'm very happy with the results.

I've never painted the wire on my sculptures, the brown paint gives a natural look, I'll keep this in mind for a future tree.

Ah! So awesome! It almost looks real. I've seen trees similar to this in Australia on the drive between Perth and Kagoorlie. They have this bark that peels off in amazing ways and there aren't a lot of branches. They also have really straight trunks. Ah, now I'm all nostalgic for Australia.

As always, your work is amazing.

Okay, I think this is one of my favorites. The way each... layer(?) of bark is a slightly different shad of brown makes the tree look magnificent.
